Oh boy, we’re going on another car ride! I know Mommy and Daddy love it that I don’t get carsick or scares of the car like other dogs so. I totally don’t. I love car rides! They are so much fun! Especially when I can stick my head out the window. That’s total car ride bliss. Yeah!
You know what’s great for traveling with a dog? A dog hammock car seat cover. It drapes over the rear seats, so your dog can sit back there without falling into the foot-space below the seats. These covers are also generally water-proof (for potentially wet accidents) and washable (for those same accidents).
They work better in sedans and SUVs though. I have a two-seater with small rear seats. The dog hammock seat cover just barely covers those rear seats. If Mocha’s not careful, he can still slide into the bottom foot-spaces. Or, if I’m not careful and stop short. Fortunately, whenever that happens, Mocha just gives me a goofy look, then returns to the seat. Good ole’ resilient boy.
Oh boy, I love going for rides in the car! Whenever I see Mommy or Daddy open the car door, I jump in happily. It’s always fun to ride in the car with them. Everywhere we go is such an adventure. Oh boy what fun!
I have a dog hammock for the back seat of my car. On long road trips, sometimes Mocha likes to rest his head on the edge to try to be as close as he can to Mommy and Daddy. It’s like he’s saying, “What are you guys doing? Can I see?” But then he closes his eyes and falls asleep in that position, just like you see here. Poor tired little guy.
After a nice day at the dog beach, we drove back with the convertible’s top down. Mocha freaked out when the convertible top activated and started to close up. But once the top was down and the wind was in his face, he was cool. Cool as a dog in a convertible can be – which is damn cool!
I had to travel out of town for a business trip this past weekend and decided to take Mocha with me. Along with a co-founder’s dog, we did a road trip with our best friends safely tucked away in their crates.
We even brought our dogs into the meeting so they could share in all the business talk. I don’t think Mocha approved of our company strategy. Or maybe he didn’t like being stuck in a room full of business talk all weekend.
And yes… I wore that shirt on purpose. I know. It’s wrong, so very, very wrong.
Something is up. I can smell it. Mommy and Daddy are both packing up. Putting clothes into bags. They are even… packing up my stuff too! Oh boy! Where are we going, where are we going??
Oh boy, we’re going in the car again! Another car ride! Woo hoo!
P.S. Looks like Mocha loves having his head out the window now. He didn’t so much on our first road trip. But after a few visits to the dog park in the car, he’s learned that he can cool off with his tongue flapping in the wind if he sticks his head out.
