Goodbye Squeaky Fuzzy Ball

Another one of Mocha’s favorite toys as met with its demise today. How sad.

Mocha finally gnawed through the furry skin of the ball, tearing it asunder so the fuzzy innards could be strewn about. Gruesome indeed.

At least this one lasted several months. A stuffed, squeaky penguin we got over Christmas was disembowled in two days.

Goodbye squeaky fuzzy ball.

Goodbye Christmas Toy

That was fast. It took Mocha only two days to utterly demolish and disembowel his stuffed, squeaky Christmas penguin toy.

Check out the plastic bubble, the squeaky heart of the stuffed toy. He pulled that right out.

Wow. Just, wow.

Merry Christmas Mocha!

For Christmas, we got Mocha a stuffed, squeaky penguin toy. Mocha loved it. He carried it around with him everywhere he went. At night, he would lovingly cradle it in his arms. And during the day, he’d nibble on its appendages.

Unfortunately, the nibbling soon become voracious. The poor little penguin toy is now sporting mangled limbs and a chewed-up nose.

Oh well. We didn’t expect this toy to last too long. At least Mocha is enjoying it while it lasts. Merry Christmas Mocha!

Chewing on a Squeaky Ball

Bark bark bark! Woof woof woof… woof? Woof. Woof woof. Woof… bark! Yip yip yip! Yip yip yip! Yip yip yip! Bark bark bark.

Translated from Dog:

Oh boy, I got a ball! Lemme chew on it… huh. It’s soft. And chewy. And… oh! It’s making a noise! There it is again! And again! I like this.

Easy Brush Review

We decided to get Mocha an Easy Brush for his dental needs. And along with some Petrodex Enzymatic Toothpaste, he seems to love it.

I apply a bit of toothpaste to the bristles of the Easy Brush, then set it down for him. He’ll generally lick most of the toothpaste off before getting down to business. Then it’s about five minutes of quiet chewing. Easy peasy one-two-threesy.

We’ve been using this for a couple of months now. While Mocha still likes to chew the Brush, he seems to be growing bored of it. I used to give it to him once every other day. Now I’m giving it to him once a week, hopefully to maintain some of the novelty of the Easy Brush.

We examined his teeth yesterday and they looked okay. There’s some tartar buildup in his back teeth despite a regime of Easy Brush, rawhide chews, dental chews, and rope bones. So we may need to brush using a dog toothbrush or finger brush one of these days. Otherwise, the Easy Brush seems to be doing a fair job.

P.S. I was dying to write, “And Mocha says, ‘I chew-chew-chews you, Easy Brush!’, but couldn’t find a good place to put it. So here it is. Heh.
