- Gentle Leader Easy Walk Black Harness
– This harness works really well with Mocha. He isn’t able to pull with it on, making his walks a pleasure. Although when he goes to pee or poop, he tends to walk diagonally because there’s a slight pull on the harness.
- Gentle Leader Headcollar
– I hesitated on recommending this because Mocha hated it so much, but it does work as directed when placed on Mocha’s head. He would just go nuts after we removed it.
Grooming Products
- FURminator
– Mocha relaxes and falls asleep when I use this tool on him. It’s able to dig deep and pull out hairs that other brushes miss. After a couple of months of frequent use, we’ve seen his shedding drop significantly. I love me some clean, hairless carpets.

- Ruff Wear Approach Dog Pack
– We love this backpack as much as Mocha seems to. Every time we go for a long walk or hike, Mocha is able to carry his own water, food, treats, and other supplies himself. And not only does he lighten our load, but the backpack provides him with exercise too.
- Ruff Wear Quencher Dog Bowls
– To accompany the backpack are a pair of collapsible bowls, one for water, one for food. They’re easy to stow, easy to wash, and very handy. I’ll even bring them along on short trips to the cafe.
Dental Care Products
- Easy Brush
– Though it might not be as thorough as a dog toothbrush or finger brush, it seems to do a good enough job. Mocha loves chewing on it too, which makes his dental care needs that much easier to do.
- Petrodex Enzymatic Toothpaste – Mocha loves this stuff. He’ll often lick it off the Easy Brush before chewing on it.
Books
– Love this stuff. After spraying it on the carpet, Mocha hasn’t sniffed or even noticed that his pee and poop once graced those fine fibers of flatulent freedom.
